We seniors in retrospect look back over the four years we have been bound together in class organizations and in school activitiesg and we count the friends we have made among our classmates and teachers. We realize how far through the arch of experience and knowledge we have progressed toward the horizon of life, which we see ever fading as we have taken the forward steps. Milestones that we will leave for the juniors to measure their achievements by are not a few. Our high scholastic students are Burnetta Anderson, Carolyn Bryant, Forestal Lawton, Sherilyn Myers, Deborah Thomas, Sharon Smith, and Barbara Vertreese. The awards we have won include second place in the American Legion Oratorical Contest by Forestal Lawton, All City First Team Football, Robert Wright, Eagle Scout Award, Don Holbert from Delano. This is a very great achievement, because he won this despite his crutches. Our usual school contests had able representation: United Cam- paign, Ronald Holden, Betty Crocker, Rose Weldon, Youth and Government, Judy Miller, Ed Scott, Deborah Thomas, and Richard Tolbertg N.R.O.T.C., Richard Tolbertg and Annual Music Contest, Cheryl Williams. These are but the early few of our successes. Our hopes are high and our determination great that the glorious flame of renown will not be dimmed by the 1962 graduates. In anticipation we look forward to a life of usefulness to our country and happiness for ourselves.
