Los Conquistadores The ''Los Conquistadores, though smaller in number than previous years, has been aided by Central's Foreign Exchange Student from Guatemala, Ccnsuelo Espana Valdez. The first semester proved educational as well as entertaining. From Connie's talks on Guatemala and discussions on other Spanish-speaking countries, a new interest was aroused in their customs and daily life. A Christmas party, Spanish style, was the most successful of all the club's activities. Spanish food and the famed pinata provided education as well as fun. During the second semester the club's attention was turned to the selling of shares, to bring another Foreign Exchange Student to Central. Thespian Club The Thespian Club was organized to inspire young and upcoming talent in the music and speech departments Eligibility for membership is based upon one's ability to do one of four things: sing, dance, act, or play a musical instrument. To retain his membership in the club one must perform at least once a semester before the club. Various activities, including picnics and parties, were enjoyed by the club throughout the year. Officers were Deanna Snowden, President; Claudia Headen, Vice-President; Ethelyn Davis, Secretary; Grace Robinson, Treasurer. Through the aid of their sponsor, Mr Nance, the Thespian Club has had a very successful year. BOTTOM ROW: B. Patten, C. Espana, Mr. Roleke, J. Anderson. ROW 2: L. Srader B Matlock, L. Golubski, J.
