Honor Society BACK ROW: Don Austin, Eorl Evons. FRONT ROW: Noncy Shull, Dovid Kniffin, Sondro Ewold. The Central Honor Society was organized for those students with enough ambition and determination to achieve fourteen or more scholarship points for at least two successive semesters. The members of the Central Honor Society are proud to belong to this distinguished organization; but particularly proud are those who can retain the required grade standard every semester of their high school careers. This achievement certainly is one to be proud of! After meeting the requirements for membership a student is allowed to wear the bronze pin. Four semesters of honor status entitle the student to wear the silver pin. Seven semesters of high quality work make a student eligible to wear the coveted gold medal which is pre- sented to the winner at an assembly in the spring planned by the Honor Society's sponsors and officers. A senior who has maintained a 3.10 grade average is graduated with distinction and entitled to add one pearl to his gold medal. Anyone with a 3.50 grade average may add two pearls to his pin and be graduated with high distinction. A person with a 3.65 grade average has reached the top rung of scholastic achievement and is graduated with highest distinction and proudly wears three pearls with his gold medal. The members of the Society exert a good influence on the whole school as they fulfill their pledge to uphold the high ideals of Central and to maintain scholastic standards worthy of their best ability.
