Central Honor Society is an honorary scholastic organization formed in 1949 for the purpose of furthering academic achieve- ment and is open to any student maintaining at least fourteen scholastic points for two sueeessive semesters. He is then eligible for memhership and may wear the bronze pin ol' the society, After attaining fourteen points for Four semesters, he may wear the silver pin, and after seven semesters, the coveted gold pin. The l'irst semester Council began the 1957, '58 school season with a rousing enthusiasm. Such projects as a Mclean-up for College Day, Chirstmas decorations for front hall, and new printed copies ol' the constitution were accom- .F I Student Council plishecl. Also a lluman Relations Committee was organized to aid in stuclent prohlems. The annual charity clrives. the United Funds and Polio Campaign, were again headed by the Coun- cil.
