Your decision lo choose the ranking ollieers ot' the student council by vote ol' the student body has proven its wisdom not so much be- cause good ollieials have been chosen good council otlicers have been the rule but because the student body have felt a more intimate responsibility for the success ot' the council's program. Your decision to graduate in cap and gown should lend an added dignity to com- mencement. Your enthusiastic acceptance of the challenge of the Class of '17 to continue the work they began of providing our school with needed equipment has already secured a grand piano, a luxuri- ous rug for the stage, an audiovisual projector and beaded screen. and other audiovisual aids. You have initiated plans to provide robes for our choir, uniforms of our band, and a new public address sys- tem. The selection of Harvey Krahenbuhl as president of the all-city student council and the election of J. Harold Morris by city-wide vote to serve as mayor of Kansas City on City Hall Day brought signal honor to Central.
