Then the literary highlight of the year rolled around, and the fellows thought of their first Intersociety Contest. Jimmie Zerr remembered that he had represented in Poem that year. After talking over Intersociety, the fellows remembered going to graduation and watching the Seniors of that year graduate. They were very hopeful of graduating in two more years. That was in ' 43. The three spent that summer playing golf, and returned to school in the fall as Juniors, and also three shades redder.
