Harley came to Central to establish the first print shop in Kansas City ' s public schools. Formerly, he had his own shop in the city ' s business district. He also edited and published the Graphic Arts Magazine, sponsored by the Graphic Art Club, which he organized. Mr. F. J. Kirker, who in 1908 came to Central to initiate commercial subjects into the school ' s course of studies, became a member of the teaching staff at Junior College in 1915.
