With People PeopIe, People, People, My World is Aglow with People is the Theme of the 1972 Centralia Year Book. The staff voted unanimously for the use of this fine theme because they thought it was revelent to student life. Central is de- picted as our world, where we spend the major part of our high school years. Leading the staff was Karen Sugar, editor and chief. Brenda Vlier was the copy editor and Kathy Fahrner, busi- ness manager. Mr. Leonard Ecker, advi- sor, chose them at the beginning of the 1971-72 school year. Other section editors are: jeff Prell, Academics, Peggy Krieg, Clubs and Organizations, Donna Clarke, Social, Bonnie Ekstrom, Sports and Emmie Wolfe, Seniors and Under classmen. This years staff of 22 was the largest the Centralia has had in many years. Photography used in this years book was had under a new system. Photo Co-ordinator, john Chevalier was in Making decisions on matters concerning the yearbook production is Karen Sugar, Editor. charge of only assigning the pictures to be taken by the photographers. Full Color pictures were not used in this years book because Year Book funds were low. Not as many books were sold as we had hoped. Staff strives to make Bi-Weekly the Best Central's Bi-Weekly again received out- standing awards for their excellent publica- tions. The purpose of the paper was to en- lighten students of what was going on at Central during the year. It contained infor- mation of all the activities that went on in Central and at the Board of Education. lt also explained many of the important pro- cedures of the administration. This year the class, consisting of 23 stu- dents, had a new teacher, Mrs. Lois Hon- sowets, who took over after Mr. David Braendle accepted the position of Assistant Vice-Principal. Although the teacher was new, the class procedures remained the same. 30!academics Working diligently on a story in order to meet the deadline are Sue jablonski and Monica Smiley Going over a story is Sue Flemmer as members of the staff offer some helpful suggestions.
