Students are taught to under- stand the development of democracy, and the various other social, economic, and political systems prevalent in the world today. They learn to read com- prehensively, to listen to radio and tele- vision, to discuss world problems, and to always be informed about current events. Four years of college preparatory math is available: algebra, geometry, advanced algebra, and trigonometry or solid geometry. These courses corre- spond with the four years of high school. General mathematics in the ninth grade followed by vocational and busi- ness math is provided for the non-college student desiring technical training. For students who have shown early and exceptional mathematical ability an enriched course is offered.
