CLASS HISTORY lCont. l- On july 11, 1962, we enrolled as Seniors. We had an enrollment of 85 hardworking seniors. Hr. ltrCCl Dickens and Mrs. Bessie Walker worked with us as sponsors. We elected our officers as follows: president, Henry Thomas; vice-ptesident, Jetty Whitehorn; SCCICe taty, Gloria Tteadwell; setgeant-atvatms, Elbert Castlebetry. We decided that we should publish a year book and treasurer, Queenie Walls; With an unanimous vote we started to work to make our publication the best that Central has ever known. We decided to have an assembly program, senior talent show and a class tournament. Our assembly program was focused on the behavior and grooming habits of students. The senior talent show was a great success in that it aided us financially in the publication of our year book. The theme of our talent show was Rock- ing With the Stars. Thomas Frazier, Hattie Eggles- ton, Henry Thomas and Nadine Folks were masters of ceremonies of the show. We chose a lawn bullentin board as out claxs gift to the school. Throughout high School, Jerry Whitehorn, Lcnms Ware. Gloria 'Ilteadwell and Rachel Dunbar were actin- 4-ll'ets in their respective communities. Hattie liggleston and Lloyd Key were chosen as klt. and Miss ticntorian of 1963. They received the honor for having sold the most advertisements for the publication of our year book, out last major project to be completed. Graduation plans have been completed. Out class motto is We have crossed the buy, thL' ocean lies be- fore us. The class colors are blue and white and our class flower is the white carnation. Memories of these four years are stored up as rich treasures. We congratulate all the members of out class who have reached this peak in academic standing. We pay sincere respect to all persons who prepared us for citizens of tomorrow. We will always remember, with reverence, Central High no matter where we ate.
