As we gaze into the crystal ball we see many familiar faces. Who is that? Why, it's Delores Durden. now sophisticated confidential secretary to Johnny E. Mack, an Electrical Engineer. James Coffey and Flyndol Ross, top Electricians are leaving for Europe where there is a great de- mand for brilliant young electricians. They are taking along with them their stenographet, Bennie McLemore. We keep looking and we see inside of what appears to be a hospital. It is-and there seems to have been an accident. We see a lovely and graceful nurse-Whyl-itls Ledota Will- iams and the patient seems quite at ease. As the patient is being wheeled to the operating room we see that he is being followed by the famous and successful Mack Mister, M.D. As we gaze further into the crystal ball we are able to see across the United States to California where we see Clara Burden, R. N., with the help of Lula Patrick, Josephine Flem- ings, Katherine Flowers, Jeanette Jennings, Earnestine Branch, Edith Kuykendol and Dr. Carolyn Wilson. These young ladies are establishing a Post Graduate School of Nursing. As we ate gazing out California way we see that Uncle Sam is doing O.K. for himself because we see Pearl Townes and Annie Lee Williams proudly wearing Air Force Blue. While gazing, these names I have seen before! Hayes and Mack Beauty Salon. Now I be- gin to remember, iris Juel Hayes and Texana Mack, who have established a beauty salon. Ethel Reed is also associated with them. Ethel does the manicuring and barbering. The more we gaze the more realistic it becomes. Our eyes are roving all over the country. We have gazed into hospitals, offices and beauty salons. However, we must not stop gazing until we have seen one of the leading universities. With this in mind, our eyes wander to U.C. L.A. Not only do we see the university, but we also see the basketball team in action. The coach is Letoy Jackson-one of Central's star athletes of 58. It seems as if there is a college vs. professional game. The St. Louis Hawks vs. U.C.L.A. We see that Robert Ford, also one of Central's all stars, has taken the place of that famous star, Bob Pettit. We gaze on and as we do we recognize this city as New York. Glancing through the city we become attracted to a lovely little elementary school. We look inside and it seems as if the teacher is preparing for a school festival. The teacher is none other than Miss Joyce Hill. Carrying out her ambition of teaching and dancing is a Dream Come True for her. New York is very large and, as any other large city, there are many fashion shops and modeling agencies. However, we are not interested in all of them but, our eyes wander into the Tipler Modeling Agency. This agency is owned and. operated by Miss Juanita Tipler. As our eyes wander on we see a simple but extravagant looking sign on which is printed, Jones For Fashions. We are able to see the young lady through the window, it is Elinora Jones designing a dinner dress for the first lady of the United States. The telephone rings and as he answers it we can distinctly hear and recognize the operator's voice as that of Irene White- horn. G As we gaze on we see that Ernest Cooper has become a traveling salesman, selling Kleen- ex. He dec1ded that lipstick was too hard on his handkerchiefs. His well-humored sidekick, Ivory Griggs, now works in Washington as a bourbon and champagne tester. Also in Washing- ton we see that Hazel Townes, one of the country's leading entomologists, is employed by the government breeding and interbreeding bees. Nylon Wilson on his occasional visits to Chicago, as we see now, is paying one of his friends a visit. Clifford Boyd, a well-known young artist, accepts him handsomely as a guest. Nylon is president of the N.A,,A.C.P., and William Ross is one of his business managers. Across the street from the artist, Clifford Boyd, is the Parr Industrial Art Center. The pro- SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY tContinued from preceding paged- prietor is none other than Clara Cunningham Part. As we gaze into the crystal ball further we cannot stop gazing until we have returned to the well remembered school, Central High. As we do, we see Lamar Taylor, collecting uni- forms to be cleaned at his well-kuown cleaning establishment. As we gaze into the crystal ball the things we see are as authentic and realistic to us as getting to the moon is to the scientists-a possibility. -Hazel Townes R SENIOR PROM-Miss M. ,Mcmtyre .Mdmyre and E. M GRADEv-Edg CAMPUS PERSOANALITIES ADVICE TO THE ATHLETES An Athlete is a person who participates in a game or exercise that requires physical skill, endurance, and strength. An Athlete can only be good in a sport, if he trains and conditions himself. An athlete should obey his coach at all times. An athlete should not be quick tempered, selfish or dis- play individualism when engaged in a team sport. An athlete should always give his best in every sport he takes part in. He should display good sportsmanship at all times for the fans who go to the various Sport events usually react to the situations as the athlete reacts. . An Athlete should be gracious in defeat as well as victory, and the fans should be the same. Whether winning or losing remember to be a good sport always. -ROBERT FORD.
