However, he is equally enthusiastic about base- and fishing. ball! Without the mastering of communicative and comprehensive skills, the student is not prepared to meet the challenges of his society. The English curricula provides for him the opportunity to develop reading and gram- matical tools, self expression, and a sound literary background. MISS KORFHAGE is co-advisor to Central's MR. GUENTER tea- ches senior English and journalism. He is ad- visor to the Times'and enjoys camping, canoe- ing and fishing. Historical Society and teaches ninth and eleventh grade English. She finds enjoyment in gardening, reading and knitting. MR. LENHOFF teaches senior English. During the summer he manages a little theater. DANIELS is Cen- tral's Business Coordi- nator. He is advisor to Cent.ral's chapter of vocations and enjoys boating, hunting and photography. MR. ELLSWORTH tea- ches bookkeeping and typing. His outside in- terests include wood- working and hunting. MR. ANDREWS, one of Central's drafting tea- chers, enjoys all sports activities. He assists with cafeteria super- vision. MR. GAVIN, a typing teacher, takes special interests in growing pine trees. Other in- terests he enjoys fishing and hiking. are 11 MR. HILDEBRANDT teaches shop math. He has charge of gym lock- ers and is a great sports enthusiast. MRS. HOGAN teaches clerical practice. Her hours away from Cen- tral are spent in home- making and other fam- ily activities. I MR. KACALEK, a wood shop teacher, is quite active in adult ed- ucation. He enjoys stamp and coin collect- ing and likes to hunt and fish. MR. His outside interests in- clude water sports and hunting. He is Cen- tral's junior Achieve- ment Advisor. MR. SA UER teaches metal shop. He is the 'A hockey and tennis coach and assistant A football coach. BUSINESS MISS KOEHLER tea- ches secretarial practice and typing. She is ad- visor for the Future Teachers of America Club and is co-advisor to the Historical Society. MR. RYAN, a book keeping teacher, is Cen tral's athletic director school bursar and ad visor to the cheer leaders.

SMITH teaches eleventh grade English and a German l class. He is advisor to the Chess Club and Stage Force. His outside in- terests include bridge and carpentry. HCI Outside interests include music, reading and hiking. 'N- ,- As seen in Mr. Castle's eleventh grade class, a most enjoyable element in the course's presen- tation is lively give and take discussion in which the student puts his tools of self expression and literary comprehension to practical use. MRS. FLEMING tea- ches all four years of Spanish. She is advisor to our Spanish Club and enjoys classical gui- tar, oil painting and reading. , tgg V ' .lgkiw Mr. R. Temple realizes the advantages of the language laboratory in helping the student develop his verbal technique and master problems of pronunciation and comprehension. it 13 New to our language department is MRS. SVVANSON tea- ches all four years of German, She isadvisor to the German Club and enjoys gardening, mu- sic, tennis and swim- ming. As Central's French tea- cher, MR. R. TEMPLE is advisor to the French Club. His favorite pas- times are gardening and reading.
