Graduation is the culmination of twelve years of work in the greatest educational system in the world ------ the public schools of America. For most of you this has been an experience which you have looked upon as a privilege bounded only by your own desire to succeed and to move ahead in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness . May your convictions be of such kind and strength that you will assure future generations of the same educational privileges altered only by increased quality. Then America can become as strong mentally as it is physically, freedom can be re-earned, and the hope for world peace can become reality. K. A. BERG Assistant Principal 5 Z u E i . N-K ,,. P. O. CARLSON, Assistant Principal '4-Qlsrumntw 'eI'r ' K. A. BERG, Assistant Principal As graduating seniors, you would probably like to know a little more about the school in which you have spent the last four years. In 1910 the present structure was erected. At Tenth and Minnesota Streets the original Central High School was built in 1833. At present Central has sixty-six class- rooms plus the study hall, gymnasium, auditorium, li- brary, offices, and cafeteria. It is supervised by a total of eighty-eight teachers and kept in working condition by twenty-five people on the custodial and cafeterial staff. In addition to our administrative staff, which consists of Mr. Lackner, Mr. Berg, and myself, we have three efficient office workers and four counselors who are always willing to help students with their problems. But the most important part of Central is the student body and especially you, the graduating class of 1960. P. O. CARLSON Assistant Principal
