FACULTY . . . page 6 SENIORS . . page 19 ACADEMIC LIFE . . . page 66 FOREWORD. As its theme the 1959 Cehisean Staff has chosen castles. During every student's life Central has been a welcome fortress. A large portion of our educational day goes to defending our lives against ignorance. Clubs, similar to guilds, bring gaiety, fun, and new friends after school in a variety of forms. We pay special tribute to the graduating sen- iors who must leave Central's hallowed halls for other dreamed-of castles, and to our competent leaders, the faculty, who have toiled many extra hours to make our castles a reality. The yearbook's main purpose is to portray as perfectly as possible the school year: its activities, classes, faculty, and the students. We sincerely hope that this has been accomplished in the 1959 Cehisean, and thatyou, personally, will find pleas- ure and delightful recollections in reading it. EXTRA-CURRICULAR . . . page 90
