In times of peace this new world held possibilities of realization of hopes and ambitions. lt was a world where rights of men were respected. The Class of 1945 will find its new world one of turmoil and strife. Dreams and ambitions must wait for realization. The future toward which we look is still hidden by the clouds of war. With faith in our- selves and the triumph of right we look to the new horizons of peace where men may study and think, work and worship, as they believe. Any war period breeds uneasiness and discouragement, but it also challenges us to look ahead toward a more stable way of life. We have profited by the experience of our teachers who have endeavored to guide us through these years of unrest and en- couraged us to look forward to new horizons. As we have ad- vanced in knowledge, we have developed new ideals and new goals. These ideals serve as a challenge to us as the future citizens of a new world organization. For this we owe much to our class adviser, Miss Heck. By her reassuring manner we have been able to build up confidence in ourselves and in our future. With sincere appreciation of her efforts, we dedicate the l945 CEHISEAN to Miss Helen Heck.
