Entering in 1936, this year's senior class is the largest ever graduated from Central. The first officers to head the class were Anna Mae Torgerson, president, Doris Bohlig, vice-president: Iean Herrmann, secretary: and Ierry Kennedy, treasurer. When in the spring the adviser, Miss Ruby Moe, was introduced to the group, it was headed by Robert Madsen, presidentg Anna Mae Torgerson, vice-president, Frances Nilsen, secretaryp and Arthur Eggert, treasurer. When the near-1000 students in the class became juniors, they elected Edward Vanl-Iousen, presidentg Mary lane Sweeney, vice-president, lean Herr- mann, secretary, and lrving Tillotson, treasurer. It is customary for the president of the junior class to lead the grand march at the Iunior-Senior Prom, and Irving Tillotson, head of the class for the second semester, had that honor. Other officers for this very important year were Barbara Reynolds, vice-president, Mary lane Sweeney, secretaryp and Arthur Cumming, treasurer. The following fall there had been no great change in the enrollment of the class of 1939. Once again officers were elected, and Arthur Cumming became presidentp Mary lane Sweeney, vice-president: lean Eberhardt, secretary: and lack Bonbright, treasurer. Even more important than the year of the Prom is the last semester of the class in school. The officers for this year must head the plans of the Senior Day and the many commencement activities. Bob Madsen was president for the final term: Dorothy Kulenkamp, vice-president, Dick Anderson, treasurer, and Elsa Ianda, secretary.

Iunior Class Officers First row: Barton Levy, Marjorie Biack, Raymond lacobson, Iessie Dudley, Mane Levie, Robert Tar- box. Second row: Barbara Mills, Evelyn Storbe-iq. The Class of 1940 entered Central in September, 1937, with the distinction of being the smallest class to enter Central in many years. The class was organ- ized and quided in its first semester by Miss Mary Bryant, and Miss Gertrude Borden was later introduced as its adviser. This tall the class elected as its president, Margery Brackg Evelyn Storberq, vice-president: Marie Levie, secretary, and Raymond lacobson was appointed treasurer. ln the sprinq term, the class started planning the most important activity of the year, the Iunior-Senior Prom. The sprinq officers elected were Robert Tarbox, president: Iessie Dudley, viceepresidentg Barbara Mills, secretary: and Barton Levy, treasurer. This year's Prom was held at Stem Hall on May 26 under the chairmanship ot Iohn Barton. The qrand match was led by Robert Tarbox, junior class president. Donald Shannon, Grace Stewart, Iohn Barton, Shirley Delfreece, Herbert Guinee, and William Whitney are the lunior-Senior Prom chairmen.
