Sophomore Class Officers First row: Wallace Hanson, Barbar Bean, Nancy Wright, Donal Meisel, Ned Powell, Douglc Perrin. Second row: Robert Sorem, Ott Meeker. Sopfmmofzat This year's sophomores, the class of l94l, to a large extent came from Maria Sanford lunior High School. The class, which numbers a little more than 400, chose for its first leaders Barbara Bean, president: Donald Meisel, vice-president, Nancy Wright, secretary. Ned Powell was appointed treasurer by the three elected officers. Chosen to head the Various class committees were Lucille Luck, finance, Wallace Hanson, poster, and Ieanne Hadd, card file. The first adviser was Miss Mary Bryant, clean of girls, and later in the year Miss Helen Heck was appointed permanent adviser of the class. Fully organized in its second semester, the class elected Douglas Perrin, president, Wallace Hanson, vice-presidentg Robert Sorem, secretary. Otto Meeker was selected treasurer by the other officers. Dick Hackney became chair- man of the poster committee: lohn Stumpf of financeg Nancy Wright, card file, and Leigh Kamman, program. Lucille Luck, Iohn Stumpf, and Betty Bennelson make up this seniesteids sophomore finance committee.
