Class Prophecy TIME: 8 P.M., November 27, 1970 PLACE: This Is Your Life New York City. The program has just begun. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to 'This Is Your Life,' presented by Lubrico, the facial cream for robots. Remember Lubrico, for the tin you love to touch. And now, here is your master of ceremonies, BOBBY PIERCE. Thank you, EDWIN LAYDEN, and good evening all. It is indeed a privilege to be interviewing our distinguished guest tonight, MR. J. E. DERRICK, author of the best-seller'Life Among the Savages--High School Style,' since both your announcer and I were members of his Senior Class of 1956. Mr. Derrick, we have invited here tonight as many of your old students as we could locate and fly to New York to help us with the presentation of your life story. First of all, let us introduce them to our audience. MELVIN S. CARTER andCALVINL. CRADDOCK formed the famous brokerage firm of Carter and Craddock on Wall Street, not far from the headquarters of the J.C. Penny Company, which is now under the control of PHIL SAWYER and LARRY MARKHAM. Mr. Sawyer is escorting MARY E. REID, famous syndicated columnist of the Washington Post. FAYE WHITEHURST, private nurse to the president is es- corted by Mr. Markham. ABIGAIL MADKE, third grade teacher in the primary school in Greenville, made the trip with two of her friends, CHARLETTA CARTWRIGHT and YVONNE FERRELL, owners of a chain of restaurants known as 'Yonnie's Chicken Shacks, Inc.' ANN FERRELL and IRVIN CULLENS are also along, fresh from Kannapolis where Miss Ferrell is head bookkeeper in the Cannon Mills and Mr. Cullens owns a large distributing business. BETTY ANN CARTWRIGHT, disc jockey at WCKY, is escorted by Mr. Cullens. PEGGY BRANCH MATHEWS has recently published a book entitled 'How to Wrap Your Husband Around Your Little Finger--in Ten Easy Lessons.' BILL BRITE and C. R. BRINKLEY have opened a drive-in in Wilson known as the B B right next door to LOU ANNA CARTWRIGHT'S doughnut bakery. CHARLES HALSEY and BOBBY LEE SPENCE came in together. Charles is head coach at William and Mary while Bobby was recently voted the nation's number one farmer. BILLY WADE TEMPLE, salesman for the Strietmann Biscuit Company can sell more cookies than you can shake a lady finger at. BILLY CECIL WHITE has taken a job with Esquire as head of the art department. Needless to say, he enjoys his job. BESSIE DEAN WHITE, wife of the US ambassador to Turkey is often seen at the beauty shop owned by SHIRLEY HOFFMAN and MARY ELIZABETH JORDAN. Mary Liza's is known far and wide for the excellent attention given to milady's coiffure. ALBERT MILLER, insurance salesman, is known as 'Annuity AT in company circles. LESSIE MAE JENNINGS is a minister's wife and is currently engaged in raising a large family as are BILLIE FRANCES SAWYER and JANICE BROTHERS, Coast Guard wives. They have been busily engaged in moving around the country and enriching the population numerically these past fourteen years. BEVERLY BALLANCE is private secretary to an executive of the Texas Oil Company and ANNETTE WILLIAMS is a guidance counselor at the Lakewood School in Sioux City. BETTY LOU WILSON, featured in the Warner Bros. Production 'Tamed' is considered Hollywood's most promising new actress. BOBBY CAMPBELL, state commander of the National Guard was recently commended by the governor of North Carolina for the excellence of his units. Unfortunately JOE FERRELL could not be with us tonight. He is a member of the first rocket cruise to the moon and will not be back to earth for some fifteen years. However, I understand they have television connections up there, so I'm sure he will be tuned in. It must get very lonesome there, so perhaps this program will cheer him up.... Ohno! The set blanked out. Did he say lonesome? It's not the least bit lonesome, is it Luna? Luna, my wife, is one of the moon people. We have a cozy little bungalow on the dark side of the moon just below the equator. The subterranean climate is simply out of this world. By the way, the next rocket leaves sometime in November 1985. Won't you join me? Joe Ferrell Prophet
