The LIBRARY WHICH IS NOW EXCELLENT FOR A SUALL SCHOOL STARTEO WITH VOLUNTARY GIFTS. In THE SECOND YEAR OF SCHOOL, THE PARENT TEACHERS ASSOCIATION WAS ORGANIZED. ThE LUNCH-R00U,OR I CINAT INC AS A SOUP kitchen in the Home Economics Department, now has MANY UOOERN ADVANTAGES. Basketball, the favorite sport, was started in 1928 ANO FIVE YEARS LATER THE OYUNASIUU WAS ALSO STARTED.. WE LOST, BUT ONLY BY TWO POINTS. Th I S BOOSTEO OUR MORALE SO MUCH THAT WE WON THE NEXT GAME. It was only a practice game, but it really cave US CONFIDENCE IN OURSELVES. The first game that we won was with Kitty Hawk,. Of course they were gooo, but our girls were GETTING TO BE GOOD ALSO. FROM THEN ON WE TOOK SEVERAL VICTORIES. WE 01 ON'T WIN THEM ALLSTRAIGHT IN A ROW, BUT THAT DIO NOT SCARE US ANYMORE. Here are how the games turneo out. We lost to Weeksville twice, Moyock twice, Griggs twice, ano South Wills once. We beat Perquimans twice, Hobbsville twice, ano Creswell twice. At the end of basketball season we were to play IN THE TOURNAMENT. WE PLAYEO ANO BEAT WOYOCK ON Thursday night. The next night we playeo Manteo AND LOST BY FIVE POINTS. After this we were invited to play in a tournament at Plymouth, North Carolina.
