The honored few are then initiated in an impressive candlelight ceremony. This year the officers were Mark Levinger, president, Jim Leide, vice-president, Jean Linder, secretary, and Eric Anderson, treasurer. Student Government for Central The Student Council consisted ot an elected mem- ber or an alternate from each homeroom. Usually meetings were held twice a month. The Student Coun- cil chose and arranged assemblies tor the year and tried to promote exchange assemblies with other schools. Fall Festival and Stunt Night were two at the social events sponsored by the group. At the end ot the year, the Council holds the elections in which the sophomores and the iuniors elect o new president to represent them the next year. Several iunior girls happily work out a routine to get the selling spirit into Central students. Their skit was presented at the annual magazine assembly. The T966-1967 Student Council President was Paul Christianson. Paul's goal as president was to promote more school spirit and participation by the students. He accomplished this by creating the Pep Committee which sold pep tags, pompons and planned pep assem- blies. The other officers were Vice-President Todd Ondell, Secretary Sandy Dahl, Treasurer Jim Leide, Junior Representative Sandy Toepel, and Parliamen- tarian Mike Facius. Sophomore Kathy Swartz relinquishes the sum of tive cents in order to show her spirit with a pep tag. Mary Rash, pep committee chairman, gladly accepts the nickel. W lfggttigfk - 1
