Each spring Circle chooses a membership of students who have proved themselves of high merit in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The honored few are then initiated in an impressive candlelight ceremony. Members are initiated in the spring by one of the methods prescribed by national organization. The initiation involves an oath and the presentation of gold Quill and Scroll pins, mem- bership cards, and subscription to the Quill and Scroll magazine.
