LIVING Surviving until the end of the week for me is like a race to see which lasts longer, the week or me. I heard that. It sure is hard to drag myself here five days in a row. Why doesn't the school week last just three days and leave the rest of the week for socializing? They can't shorten the week, but school is more than that. It's where we come each Monday to talk about who went out with who, about where the great parties were at, or what movie not to see. It's where most of our friends are. All summer, students worked at their jobs, wrestled with the heat, and waited for school to start. By the end of the summer I'm ready to go back to school because things start to get monotonous, and I'm ready for a little spice in my life, stated Jim Jenson. You know what? I'm beginning to think high school isn't just a place, but a state of mind.
