principal assistant principals the decision makers at chs, there were three men who guided and controlled the student body as well as the faculty, assistant principals orville kahler and steve mcnichol met the challenges of their jobs with stamina and a smile of determination, principal eskel norbeck found himself the major policy and decision maker at chs. with courage and confidence, he instituted the policies which made chs an individual. probing into the vast unknown frontier of knowledge provoked mixed emotions among students, there were moments when a simple smile portrayed the satisfaction of calculating that problem in geometry or understanding the physics lesson for the day. and there were times for frowns of frustration when it appeared that the research paper for american lit would never be completed. but some how for some reason just when the end was in sight a whole new world to be explored opened its doors.
