A new hobby has been undertaken by members of the Radio Club — building radios from a kit. This interest has strengthened their understanding of the basic radio fundamentals as well their ability to repair radios. In printing the newspaper, the staff participated in interviewing, te- porting news, and taking pictures of student activities. Six issues were printed during the school year. In addi- tion to their activities related to printing, the staff took field trips which included visits to the offices of the Winston-Salem Journal and Sentinel. Many areas of science are studied by Central’s Science Club. The Club participated in field trips that were telated to the topics studied.
