Boys 4-I-I Clubs ' The boy's 4-H clubs had 81 members in which 78 completed their projects. The boy's-4-H is divided into three clubs. The Club News of .the clubs is as follows: HOOSIER HUSTLERS 4-H CLUB Junior Leader--Fred Rowe The Hoosier Hustlers 4-H Club of Smith Township has been very 'active during the past year under the leadership of Glen Gates, Adult Leader, and Harold Zimunerly, Junior Leader. Thirty members were en- rolled and completed their projects successfully, winning two sweepstakes in Dairy, two in Swine, and one in Poultry, along with many firsts, sec- onds, thirds, and fourths. Our Club has also played an active part in Judging Contests and other numerous 4-H affairs. We hope to do even better this year with Paul Duhne as Adult Leader and TFred Rowe as Junior Leader. WILLING WORKERS Junior Leader-Bob Gastineau The Willing Workers has 18 m.embers from which all but one com- pleted their projects. Our' 'Club won one sweepstakes and eight first prizes. The sweepstakes was won by Helen Stacey in her garden project. We were well represented-on the trip to Evansville and also on the trip to the State Fair. Two .members, Gloria Hamner and Bob Gastineau were present at the 4-H roundiup. We also took active part in the Judg- .ing Contests. A - FAIRPLAY TOWNSHIP CLUB Junior Leader-J ack MacDonald This has been a most prosperous year for the World Beater's 4-H Club. We exhibited at the county 4-H fair, and had a good turnout in judging, and were also well represented on the trip to Evansville. Our club had a total of five sweepstakes, and thirteen blue ribbons at the 4-H fair. L The club also had' three members present at the 4-H Round-Up- Martha Thacker, David R-oudebush and Don York, with one member of the club, and Jack MacDonald going to Conservation camp at Versailles, Indiana. Our Club took active part in judging too-Don York and Harold Zimme-rly receiving the right to go on to the state contest. During the year, Mr. Duhne became Adult Leader when Mr. Gates went to Bloomiield. The combined clubs are working for an equally prosperous year during 1949.
