Band Our senior band, under the leadership of Miss Hazel Morris, has thirty members in uniform. This year we have a junior band, too, which also consists of thirty members. They are striving to become members of the senior band and will some day take the place of those who' grad- uate. They are progressing rapidly. The band has been a busy organization this year, full of work and good times. We played at the Worthington F'air, Campaign Rally at Lin- ton, and several of the home ball games. Eight members participated in the District contest held at Blooming- ton. The four who won first at Bloomington and two student directors, tried their best to win honors at the State contest February 19, at Terre Haute. We plan to take part in the county Band Festival to be held at Bloomfield in March and to give a Spring Festival at Switz City. The band boosters club is well organized this year and has made possible the purchase of two new uniforms, a new BB Flat Sousaphone, and a reconditioned E Flat Sousaphone. Six seniors will receive honor sweaters this year, a reward for par- ticipating in band for several years. Sweaters are to be awarded to Mary Ruth McDaniel, Lena Tolen, Catherine Winters, Jack Sullivan, Willa Dean Gibson, and Gloria Hamner. Glee Club The Glee Clubs are under the direction of Miss Morris. The girl's club has thirty members and the miixed chorus consists of forty boys and girls. We sing both religious and popular music. Members of the Glee Club went Christmas caroling and they will take part in the Spring Festival to be given in March. MAJORETTES R. McDaniel, W. Gibson, B. Gastineau BAND G. Hamner, M. Bump, M.
