Reception On Friday, April 30, 1948, the Senior and Junior classes of S. C. H. S. enjoyed an evening at Spring Mill Inn. On the dinner tables were corsages of red roses and favors of com- pacts for the girls..The boys received buttoniers and favors, which were fountain pens. The guests were also given corsages and favors. Russel Staker, the Junior class president, extended the welcome to the Senior class, and Vance York, the Senior class president, gave the response. ' After a delicious three-course dinner, members of the classes along with the faculty and guests, retired to the recreation room where the 'Junior prophecy and the Senior will were given. The Junior prophecy was presented by Catherine Winters, Jo Town- send, Lena Tolen, Barbara Conklin, Richard Nolting, and Jack Sullivan. Using playet form these people did a very good job of delving into the past and prophesying the future for the members of the Senior class of 48 . After the Junior prophecy was given, the Seniors gave the will. Yvonne Terhune, very appropriately dressed in a red suit and a tail, played the part of the little man with the pitchfork and horns. Beatrice Landis was an angel complete with wings. After much argument be- tween Yvonne and Beatrice, members of the Junior class were willed places in heaven and elsewhere. - After the prophecy and will, dancing and various games were enjoyed the remainder of the evening.
