What Our Patrons Have to Say Independence, halo., April 5, 1913. To Whom It May Concern: Dr. Z. M. NVilliams, President of Central College for Women at Lexington. Blo., is the best qualified man for this place that I know of. His high Christian character and intellectual ability especially fit him for this position. This institution surely is under the right manage- ment while in the care of Dr. and Mrs, Vlfilliams. There is no college for women in the west that is better and more suitable to which we may send our daughters than Central. Bly daughter, who recently graduated there. thinks there is no other place as good. I can cheerfully recommend this college to any one who has girls to educate and train, as being a safe institution to send them. Yours very truly, E. E. AXLINE, Ex-Judge Jackson County. Lincoln, Mo., April 7, 1913. Dr. Z. BI. VVilliams, Lexington, NIO. Dear Dr. WVilliams: VVith pleasure I commend you for the thor- ough teaching and training my daughter Faye received in your school, and feel that the money spent for her education in your college will prove a profitable investment from a higher than money considera- tion. If I had another daughter to be educated, I would not think of sending her to any other than Central College. Sincerely yours, FRED BRILL. Kansas City, Missouri, April 7, 1913. Dr. Z. M. lYilliams, Lexington, lNIo. Dear Doctor: I am taking this opportunity to express to you my thanks, and congratulate you upon being at the head of such a splended school that is doing so much for the Young Women in this country today. Certainly you have everything that could be desired ina school of this kind, and you would certainly have more than a capacity attendance if the people generally knew Central and its splended president and efficient corps of teachers as we, the patrons, do. Trusting your good work may continue and that you and your good wife continue to have the care of Central and the supervision over our daughters for many, many years to come, I remain, Yours very truly, A. P. OSBORN. Gen'l Manager Royal Union Mutual Life. Jefferson City. Blu., April Sl. 1913. Dr. Z. M. Vllilliams. Lexington. Nlo. Bly Dear Doctor: I have had many pleasant thoughts of Central College. where my two girls. especially my oldest daughter. Nellie. were under your care. She made a model woman, all of she received at your hands words enough to express my is now married and is happy, and has which I attribute to the careful training while under your care. I cannot find appreciation and my opinion of Central College. The only regret I have is that my youngest daughter could not finish her education but was compelled to leave school on ac- count of her failing health. Any time I can be of service to you, command me. Yours respectfully, E. P. DEAL, State Treasurer. Sunnyside, Virginia, April 9. 1913. Dr. Z. BI. 'Williams, Lexington, lvlo. Dear Dr.: It affords me great pleasure to heartily endorse the efficiency and methods of Central College for Women. As a patron for several years of this institution, I have seen results which are the best testimonial of anyi cause. The wholesome discipline, the thorough intellectual training, the moral and religious environment, the unique historical setting, the healthfulness and the cultural surroundings, all render it a most desirable place to send the girls of Missouri and adjoining states. Vllishing continued success in your great work, Most truly and sincerely, JAiviEs,E. CLARKE. I Webb City, Mo., April 10, 1913. To Whom It May Concern: This is to certify that for nearly three years our daughter has been at Central College for Women at Lexington, Mo., with results very gratifying to us. We believe the management of the school is earnestly trying to and in large measure succeeding in developing pupils along proper and wholesome lines, with a view of fitting them for life's responsibilities. We heartily recommend this school to the favorable considera- tion of any who are looking for a school in which to educate their daughters. Yours Very truly, E. T. VVEBB.

Sikeston, Mo., April 17, 1913. Dr. Z. M. Williams, Lexington, Mo. My Dear Sir: I want to state, having had three of our daughters attend your school, most of which time was under your management, in fact each of them were there while you were in charge, that we are much pleased with the work and management generally. Our youngest daughter will probably attend next year, and, of course, we want her to attend Central. VVe think the ability of the whole faculty is excellent, and the interest taken by the faculty excellent, and the management first class. . Very truly yours, A. J. MATTHENNS. Dodge City, Kansas, Biay 2. 1913. Dr. Z. M. Williams. Lexington, Missouri. My Dear Dr. Williams: As the time is near at hand when my daughter will be through and return from your college, I feel that in justice to yourself, others of the faculty, and the school generally. I should say that the matter of finding a good, thorough educational institution with the best Christian influences were somewhat diflicult. The fact is Mrs. Millikan, with our daughter Hazel visited at some other colleges, or rather one, and investigated others before going to Central. In this connection I wish to say that we have been delighted with the progress that our daughter has made at Central. I have never at any time felt any uneasiness about the influence or care of Hazel since I first visited her at Central. and certainly take pleasure in recommending your college to fathers and mothers who have girls, and want to find a good Christian and thorough educational place to educate them. You are permitted to refer any parents wishing information along the line above indicated to me. Wishing you continued success in the great and good work that you and your associates have been and are doing for women, I remain, Very truly yours, H. F. MILLIKAN, United States Land Agent. Lamonte, Mo., Blay 2, 1913. Dr. Z. M.. Williams, Lexington, Missouri. Dear Dr. Williams: I hardly know how to express my apprecia- tion of thecharacter of the work done at Central College for Women-w what- it has done and is still doing for my daughters. The simple fact that you have had Marion with you for the past five years. and Helen for one year, should be conclusive evidence of my high estima- tion of Central College and its management. We note with what I suppose is natural parental pride, the development of our girls into well-rounded Christian womanhood. I consider Central College an ideal home for girls in every particular. as is evidenced by the fact that we send all that we have to you. Thorough education is very important. but is necessarily a rather slow process, and if the parents would give their daughters more time for character building, the efficiency of college work would be more highly appreciated. We are anxiously looking forward to the close of the second year. when we C-an have our girls at home for a time. Very truly yours. J. R. CLARK. Blgr. Lamonte Lumber Co. Houstonia. Mo.. .lune 9, 1913. Dr. Z. ll. Wlilliams, Lexington. Blissouri. Dear Sir: Since having patronized your school for twelve years. we feel that a word of commendation for Cent-ral would not be out of place. After carefully examining the course given at Central. and finding your school two years higher than other female colleges of the different denominations, we were led to decide for Central. lYe being Baptists, it became a question of very great importance-a matter of vital interest-. VVe felt that we wanted the best school privileges obtainable for our daughters, as well as vigilant watch care in a good Christian home, so we decided in favor of Central College. and we feel that the time and money spent in a business way one of the best investments we ever made. Accept many thanks for your kindness in the past. XVit-h best wishes. MR. AND MRS. B. F. Mc-CLVRE.
