' rr â– mn , aV Souv foreword Let us now take the time to relive our years at Central Falls High School. Let us relive a thousand experiences: some happy and some sad; a million memories of both pleasure and sorrow. We can do this by reading our yearbook. A yearbook serves as a means of re- minding us of the high ideals we learned and the great goals we learned to seek. A yearbook reminds us of our humble beginning when we are too proud or of our many accomplishments when we are too despondent. It helps to shape our past into a workable mold for our future. A yearbook is all these things, so let us now look into these pages. Let us also remember not to linger too long, for the past serves only as a means to accomplish an end. It should supplement the present, but never dominate it. Zable of Contents Faculty Seniors Underclassmen T  t)Rs: Aetivities School jCife World Sports Ads ' DcdicatioH Mf- Maurice J . In the opening weeks of September the sport of Cross-Countr) ' was brought into Central Falls High for the first time in the history of the school. For the boys participating, it was an entirely new experience; however, under the direction of Mr. Hamel, they soon caught on. The) ' learned that long distance running demands top conditioning, endurance, and keen com- petitive spirit. These are the cjualities our coach seeked to instill in all the boys that went out for the team. Having a late start and only a few weeks of prac- tice under their belts, our ' harriers ' began a season of informal meets with St. Raphael, Pawtucket West, Tolman, Lincoln and our Broad Street rivals. Sacred Heart. Considering the lack of the team ' s experience, Mr. Hamel was surprisingly pleased with the per- formance of Senior Capt. Dale Clarke, who ran first for C. F. all season. Junior John Gagnon, Senior Den- nis Cooney and Sophomore Robert Whitehead fought for the next three places in every race, with each being the runner-up at one time or another. Always close behind were Juniors Anthony Goes and Edward Osediacz. As the season wore on these boys as well as Seniors Steven Pinheiro, Ali Nuri, Michael Ukleja, and Junior Fred Issa really developed the desire for running. 95 T ,p before A Practice Zime Zrial Run, Run, Run.
