FOREWORD With hopes high and enthusiasm unbounded we made our first appearance in the plav of life in September of 1952. This is our script — a record of our |Ovs and accomphshments, our educational challenges and the responsibilities accepted. We hope that as the play of life advances the pages of our SOUVENIR will help recall the cast, our classmates and our teachers, whose friendship and kindliness have made this act of our play a memorable one.

MESSAGE FOR THE 1956 YEARBOOK OF CENTRAL FALLS HIGH SCHOOL As a member of the Class of I896 of the Central Falls High School, I send greetings to you who have followed the well worn course to a high s chool education sixty years after I have followed the same path. Let me say first that I went immediately from high school into my life- work. I found the education given in a first class high school (and it was first class even as long ago as I896) is a good preparation for life, pro- vided the studies which you and we vjere offered are conscientiously pursued. Some of you will be going on to higher educations. Let those of you who are not, free yourselves of discouragement. The roads to responsibility and success in this country are open to you.
