The Timely Generation Well fellow students, here it is! The book we ' ve all been waiting for This is the book that has caused, seem¬ ingly, much ado about nothing. It has been much ado about something . It is our book, a memory book, a his¬ tory book, a reference book, a book—all that is left of our school days. We wanted it to be different because we feel we are special, yes, and different. We hope you are pleased. We hope you are proud as we of the staff are proud. We hope you think it ' s the best. We don ' t know. We can only hope. The editor. Academics . 18 Activities . 36 Classes . 86 Advertisers . 146 3

The Time of Our Lives These are the times in which we live. We come and go.. .we move.. .we grow.. .we change.. .we see.. .we are blinded. .. the time moves fast. . . graduation. .. slow . . . the days of exams. We hurry and we shout; we weep and we laugh; we love and are loved; we remember and forget. Whatever time brings we build upon it; we adjust, change, learn, grow. It is a time for living. Life is full and life is now the future built upon the past. We have become.. .THE TIMELY GENERATION. We are a group of learners. We are a part of a growing community. We are ourselves. 2

A Time To Say Thank-You Because of her unselfish willingness to serve, this teacher has become an esteemed individual in the eyes of those who know her. Through her countless acts of kindness and understanding, always given with a buoyant smile, we have received untold benefits in the prepara¬ tion for our adulthood. The students will always remember her for her com¬ plete interest in them as individuals and her willingness s r to serve them. The Seniors will remember her for the part she contributes in their graduation and the feeling of success she implants in each of their minds. To one of the most thoughtful and sincere persons we know, we, the Senior class of Central High School, dedi¬ cate the 1967 edition of the Spartan to. . . Mrs. Martha Power. 4
