The annual staff would like to express our thanks to Judy Hedrick. Judy has been a cheerleader for four years and has been chief cheerleader for the past two years. She has led the school with spirit in defeat and victory. Many times when our spirits were low Judy and the cheerleaders came throu g h and gave us the e xtr a spirit we needed to win. Thanks again, Judy. We would also like to say a few words about the cheerlead- ers. Without them backing Judy, we would have no yells or spirit. At last we were the important ones, ev eryone looked to us for strength and leadership. We were the football and basketball heroes, the school officers, and the club leaders. This was the year we entered the auditorium while the underclassmen rendered us homage by standing at their seats until we were seated. We had a wonderful time, but we learned many things which were of value to us. S o m e of our classmates were inducted into the National Honor Society. Our Senior year was a time of finality. This year brought with it the last homecoming games, the last foot- ball game, the last high school exams, the last time that this same group, which had laughed and cried together, would be a class. We eagerly anticipated our graduation night, but during those final moments with our classmates, friends, and teachers, the whole parade of events passed before us in our minds. Outwardly, we were giddy and jubilant, but inside, there was a swelling of sad emotion. It was all over. With suppressed mist upon our eyes, we said adieu, and with lagging steps we walked before the audience of parents and friends to receive our diplomas, armed with devotion and pride for our teachers and for Central. This was the end-when we were handed our diplomas, it was goodbye Central. f Blue and White M-J-e y - Class Motto Not for ourselves, but for all.
