Kitner. 1 f F The undefeated Central Dauphin Rams, Central Pennsylvania's number one team, completed their fourth consecutive winning season with a 10-O log. The Rams have now won 36 out of their last 40 games. Their initial appearance of the year was against Cedar Cliff. The Rams overpowered the Colts 31 -O. Ken Dykes and Jerry Angell, in a preview of things to come, gained a total of 441 yards rushing. The next game, also at home, with the Lebanon Cedars was an overwhelming victory for the Rams. C.D. gained a total of 469 yards rushing, although handicapped by 65 yards in penalties: the score, 40-O. In a hot Saturday afternoon game with the William Penn Tigers, the previously unscored upon Rams turned a predicted battle of giants into a murderous rout. The highly touted Tigers scored once whereas the Rams tallied in every quarter to win 34-6. In a stubborn home battle with a fired-up Bishop McDevitt team the Rams trailed for the only time in the season, but only tempor- arily. In the second half Dykes and Angell went to work on the Crusader line and ground out 195 yards to give C.D. a 20-13 victory. In their fourth appearance at Rams' Field, C.D. proved too much for Steelton-Highspire and ended the Steamrollers undefeated season by a 26-12 count. Friday the 13th is traditionally an unlucky day, it was this year for Carlisle. The undefeated Thundering Herd hosted the Rams and ended up on the bottom of a 21-6 score. Outstanding in the game were ends, Frank Vukmanic and Bob Megonnell, who caught touchdown passes from quarterback Meade Johnson. The Green and White had an easy week at Susquehanna where they demolished the winless Indians 45-O. At Hershey a fired-up opposition contained the Rams for the first half but couldn't pre- vent an eventual 27-O clobbering. At Homecoming the following week, the Rams outscored Middletown 32-6. ln the finale at York, the whole club played brilliantly to beat York 33-14 and complete their undefeated season. 84 TRAINERS: Bob Schreckengaust and Speed Ebersole.
