Advised by Mr. Paul Mur- phy, the Club shows educational films in classrooms and assemblies, operates the sound equipment at sports events and dances, and functions as the stage crew for plays and other events. In working together, the members of the Visual Aids Club learn the val- ue of teamwork as well as various technical skills.

The purpose of the National Honor Society is to promote better school spirit and to rec- ognize students who excel in scholarship and related qualities. The membership of this chapter of the National Honor Society consists of a maximum of ten per cent of the Junior Class and fifteen per cent of the Senior Class. The club was organized to create school spirit in its activities and to bring up the attendance at all its functions. In order to do this, the Spirit Club has kept the bulletin board at C.D.E. up to date, made posters and announcements for school activities, and sponsored several school dances. 78
