The Future Nurses' Club of Central Dauphin exists to inform its members about the nursing profession and to acquaint them with various hospitals and the many different fields of nursing. This is attained chiefly through films, speakers, and field trips to hospitals. The club also sends representatives to conventions, the most important one being the F.N.A. State Convention in Pitts- burgh. Some of the proiects undertaken by the Future Nurses included volunteer work at the tu- berculosis center, and preparing baskets of food, clothing, and gifts for a needy family at Christmas. To finance these proiects and their field trips, they sold submarines, Christmas candy, candles, and Easter candy. , . The F.N.A. officers are Vicki Reilly, presi- dent, Joyce Smith, vice-president, Debby Rose- ner, secretary, and Carole Peace, treasurer. The advisor is Mrs. Mariory Kline, the school nurse. As.. The main purpose of the club is to provide train- ing in the fields of sales- manship, display arrange- ments, and advertising. The members, under the direction of Mr. John Magero, sell sweat shirts, school pennants, and differ- ent school supplies in the D.E. store. Molds Future Homemakers An intricate part of the school homemaking pro- gram, the Central Dauphin Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America well lives up to its motto Toward New Horizons. Under the Advisorship of Miss Beers and home moth- er, Mrs. Bushey, the club's purpose is directed toward helping the girls prepare for their future position in the home, community, na- tion, and world.
