The Junior Class September of T960 introduced the Class of '63 as sophomores to Central Dauphin. This was our first experience as high school students, and we were faced with choosing our class officers to lead us throughout the year. Douglas Shaffer was selected president, Harvey Martin, vice-president, Jane Lewis, secre- tary, Gloria Shuler, treasurer, and Susan Seigler, historian. Our only project for the year was the sale of Christmas cards, which was successful. ln September, l96l, we returned to Central Dauphin as juniors. More edu- cated and aware of the duties of our class, we again undertook the election of of- ficers. This year Robert Gaylor was our choice for president. Other officers were vice-president, William Hildebrand, secretary, Nikki Knerr, treasurer, Donna Smith, and historian, Susan Seigler. Our class was well represented in many activities. The undefeated football team contained several juniors. The band, bandfront, and cheerleaders, as well as other clubs, had many energetic juniors among their ranks. We had many participants in winter and spring sports, too. The National Honor Society accepted many of our members. We were the first class to have an Honor Group, and many of our students ranked high in competition with other schools. The class play, The Boy Who Changed The World, proved entertaining and profit- able. Our year was concluded with the Junior-Senior Prom at the Hershey Starlight Ballroom. It was an exciting evening for all who attended. Next year we'll return as seniors to lead the way for our underclassmen. l JUNIOR EXECUTIVE COUNClLfFirst row: L. Smith, K. Binkley, C. Dugan, L.
