They started off with a bang by defeating Susquehanna. For The next Two games C.D. seemed To be in a rut, but The Two wins over Middletown and Lower Dau- phin brought Them out of iT. By mid-season, C.D. had a record of 3-6. However, This did not ham- per The spirits of The Team. Instead, They went on to win four more games during The second half of The season. Girls' Basketball team, headed by Coach Way- bright, and captained by Kathy Shaver, lost their first two games to Cumberland Valley and Cedar Cliff, but came back strongly in their third to defeat Susquehanna to the tone of 23-14. They also won their next two against Bishop Mc- Devitt and Cumberland Valley and then dropped 'one to Cedar Cliff. In their second meeting with Susquehanna, they suffered another setback, then came out on top after a hard battle with Mechanicsburg. 99
