1 FA TA lA Dear Diary, Sept. 5: .X wee bit nervous beneath our tans, into the yellow buses and away for our last first day ol school-.'Xlmost unbelievable, we're actually seniors! .-X few new laces among the familiar ones, but Carol Kilcluff, Russell Kirchofli. Bob Nleyer. Hank Hall, Robert NICHose and other newcomers won't be strangers long. Nlet the stranger in the principal's office and decided the year would be the best ever. Sept. 27: XVhite gloves and party manners were the order of the day as we balanced cups and saucers at the Senior Kolfee Klatseh. Sandra Sheesley and Carol Polleck were among the PTS.-X hostesses who put everyone at ease. Oct. Al: .-X sloppy hockey game if there ever was one! Poor Carole Boyer and Rosie Reinhardt spent the best part of the afternoon in a mud puddle smack in the middle of our field. Oct. 8: The night ol lirsts . . . although student chairman John Cassatt Marie Shaelfer, and Alohn Croxe had helped with the organization o Central lJauphin's Parentfl'eacher-Student Association, this was fo many of us the initial meeting. .-Xn electric organ also made its debu under the skilled fingers of So So 'l'homas. More organ music will b furnished with our lunches by ,Ioanne Ulrich and Barbara Clearwate Oct. 30: College is pretty serious business, but green and white uni formed band members marched into the Harrisburg area College Nigh when C. ll. was host. Red-faced Carol lNIc'Eldowney explained that th Penbrook Halloween Parade had left no time for costume Change. Nov. l: From -l p.m. to who-knows-when the Carnival raged, Littl ones were thrilled with Bussy Heinbaugh's whirley-gig spider while th big ones ...I lohn Crove and john Sgrignoli had a smashing good tim tossing pies at certain celebrated mugs . , . Kenny Rhine, Bill Yarnal and john Cassatt seemed fascinated by junior bathing suit beauties wh took a dangerous dive if a fella's aim was good . . . and the lNlen's Faeul Quartet and the smorgasbord were treats for all. Nov. 3: Our boys were all rather glum about Milton llershey's mane vering but dazed center, Bob Metller, was the most dejected. Reeli slightly, he headed for llershev's hudclle . . . a spy perhaps? Nov. fi: lke buttons blossomed and Stevenson signs shone-Suzi qlon Dick Scott. and especially Pat Kramer were well decorated. Nov. Ili: Hlhen we the audience Remember Mama, a Hawless p formance comes to mind. But back stage . . . Uncle Elizabeth, the C was up to some fancy antics and some people knew where the pipe smo was coming from.
