You, the Class of 1956, have not only the honor of being the first class to be graduated from the Central Dauphin High School, but also have the honor of publishing this book, the first yearbook of the Central Dauphin High School. Your yearbook is a valuable historical document for this school. lt records for future years the beginning activities ofa school which I believe will receive recognition as on of the leading high schools of the State. Everyone is appreciative of the leadership which you have exerted in establishing many of the future customs and tradi- tions of this school as well as the high standard in curricular and extra curricular activities which you have established during this first year of operation. You, as the first alumni of the school, can and undoubtedly will give your support through organized as well as individ- ual effort to the development of even higher standards and further improvements for your Alma Mater. Your interest and your loyalty to Central Dauphin as alumni members will con- tinue to challenge future pupils to greater achievements. l, therefore, urge you to organize an Alumni Association for the school and to continue the fine leadership which you displayed so magnificently this year in the interest of your school. We are proud of you, as the first graduating class, and of this yearbook in the same way that we are proud of the Cen- tral Dauphin High School. I, therefore, congratulate you, the first graduates of our school, for your achievements in high school and extend to each one of you the best wishes of your Alma Mater for hap- piness and success in your everyday living. Kermit M. Stover Supervising Principal To The Members of the Graduating Class: The Class of 1956 is singularly honored.
