In the district contest held at Atlantic, Sharon Stine and Norma Stine won one ratings. In the state contest at Storm Lake Sharon won a first in interpretative reading, and Norma a first in the dramatic division. Congratulations to our two state winners. The one-act play received a one rating at Atlantic and was given a two rating at the state contest. The cast included Wes Winter, Harold Hill, Roger Thompson, Sharon Stine, and Norma Stine. The debate team composed of Harry Stine, Dave Nagel, Paul Thompson, and John Nelson debated with Osceola and Atlantic at the district contest at Atlantic. They defeated Osceola and were defeated by Atlantic, receiving 2 ones and 2 twos. 45
