C. nineteen forty The end of another September brings the end of another summer, but it also brings the beginning of another fall and another college year. September 14-Fall Convocation. 19-Freshman Orientation. 23-Classes begin. 27-First football game-Arnold 3, TCC 13. From summer vacation to college life in two weeks-the old introducing the new, new friendships and new memories supplementing the old, and so into another hectic New England fall. October 2-Sophomore party for Freshmen. 4-First home football game, under lights-Hyannis 0, 12 TCC 13. -Football game-Trenton 0, TCC 45, and the first major social event of the season, the annual Homecoming Dance. 18-Senior Party. 26-Football game-Wagner 125 TCC 13. 30-A dull warm fall rain forces the postponement of Fall Sports Day, but lends an effective contrast to a bright and colorful Hallowe'en Party in the evening. November 2-Football-N. Y. Aggies 6, TCC 19. 6-Fall Sports Day-a day which never fails to catch the true careless happiness of fall as only youth can catch it- one of those days many will not easily forget, especially the Juniors who won the song contest, and who were awarded the Fall Sports Day plaque. 11-Football game-Montclair 19, TCC 6. 14-Men's Smoker, sponsored by Men's A. A. 15 and 19 22 -Sophomore and Freshman parties. -Thanksgiving Day Dance-the highlight of the fall social season, and one of the brightest of the year, it brightens the days for weeks before and after-who knows how long after? Into December, the really cold weather, basketball, skating, the first all- college banquet, and Christmas. December 5-Basketball game-Alumni 49, TCC 56. 1 1-Art Club Bazaar and A Christmas Carol by the College 12 17 20 Theatre. -Basketball-Trenton 345 TCC 32. -All-college banquet. -Christmas vacation. nineteen forty-one The end of another year with many highlights of memory, and into the New Year with high expectations. March 5-6-College Theatre presentation of What A Life -true entertainment, relaxing, stimulating 3 the spark in life that makes one think maybe the world is not such a bad place after all. - 7-Alumni Dance. 14-15-Industrial Arts Conference. 21-junior Prom-the gem of a sparkling social season, and undeniable proof that winter is past. Of such are memories made. Of such is the brighter side of life, and although we welcome the spring, who has left this winter without just a little regret? But on to spring, schedule changes, class parties, dances, and other social events, the Music Department production, baseball, and thoughts of love and exams. April 1-All-school roller-skating party, sponsored by the Sopho- 3, 4, 5- more Class at Lake Compounce. About sixty representatives of TCC attend the Eastern States Conference in New York. 14-18-Senior Week, an interesting tradition continued. 22-Commerce Club Banquet. 23, 24- Waltz Dream , another proof that there is still hope for the aesthetic in a war-torn world. 26-First tennis game of the season-U. S. Coast Guard Academy. 30-First baseball game-Arnold. May 2-Baseball-Salem. 7-Sports night, sporsored by Men's A.
