There are many rea- sons why these people choae the profession of teaching. The majority of these scholars made this momentous decie sion when they were in middle school or high school, but a few waited until they had a year or two of college to boast about. Different aspects of teach- ing appeal to different people Being able to influence a young, personii life is one of the moat important factors As an adult they are able to he in contact with the student for up to seven hours a day; Out of this contact a mutual respect is built and the student can have a positive role model to look up to. This is very helpful when a student is struggling, with many changes and prob- lems, Fall is the favorite time of year for several of CCHS teachers. Homecoming festivi- ties play a big role in their love of this time of year. It's excite ing to see the energy and life students show at the begin- ning of the year. If tcatheis could change a few things they would cut down on extracurricular ac- tivities and try to instill the importance of sthoolwork. The school would never have been able to run smoothly without the people behind the school. Our school owes its phys- ical health to four very important people, our cooks and our nurse. In a school year our cooks prepared many hundreds of lunches. This year the cooks also helped make prom night special by preparing the meal. Mrs. McMahon also contribut- ed to the health of our school by being there when a student was ill. In the course of a school year she took tempera- tures, distributed medica- tion, and helped each stu- dent maintain a healthy attitude. The custodians added a special touch to life at CCHS. Without them the school would not sparkle and things wouldn't run as smooth- ly. These people are often overlooked but they are a part of CCHS that is very important. 21 Top right: Mrs. Peck gets the end of school mailing ready to go Middle Left: Mrs Krumme shows Bill Hanson the correct way to print his computer program. This year saw a new beginning for the 1985-86 cheerleaders and Porn Pon girls. They were combined to form one unit con- sisting of 17 girls. They were called the Spirit Squad . This year all girls did rou- tines to pep band and lead cheers. Keeping a busy schedule, they performed for foot- ball, basketball 8: wrestling. They have per- formed at Pershing and Harvest of Har- mony. Being on the Spirit Squad proved a Challenge. The girls practiced often. If the girls don't know their routines and cheers they had to come in after school until they were learned. The girls must obtain good grades and are not allowed misrepresent the school. When performing at activities not all the girls were performing. They were expected to divide themselves up for certain activities and it was to be done fairly. Kay and Tracey strut their stuff. They have laid you in your final resting place but to us, you are not gone, you remain in our thoughts, in our lives. We look around but you are not there, We hear your voice yet no sound We can reach out and touch you yet feel nothing. Forever missed, forever blessed The likes of two young girls was put to a test We cherish you two, Julie and Cris In our hearts know you'll always be missed The 1986 class remembers the fondness of you And when we graduate it will be like you do too. Going on with our hopes and dreams, we continue to try Until we meet again Julie and Cris, we bid you good-bye.
