Homecoming Activities Flourish The forever traditional activities of CCHS homecoming proved to be spectacular. The royalty activities began with the escorting of the queen candidates, seated in sparkling cor- vettes. driven to the front of the stadium. The king candidates then escorted them to the royalty ramp. Scott Johnson. and Karla Oberle, 1979 king and queen, were on hand to present Matt Bolling with the king's crown, and Teri Malm with the queen's crown. First attendants named were Kris Grosshans, and Candace Scheer, and second attendants were Darryl Stephens, and Theresa Lanzendorf. The Senior High band put on a good show at half time. They were responsible for adding a lot of pep to the homecoming activities. Homecoming spirit was really evident as it started off with a big boom at the bonfire, Thurs- day night at Patterson Field. The cheerleaders and pep band performed at the pep rally which was held in the old Jim's market parking lot. The varsity boys played hard and tough, but were unsuccessful for a win. Albion shut us out by one touchdown. The final score being Albion 14. Central City 7. The homecoming dance was held in the gym after the homecoming game. Glen Eppley was the DJ from Complete Music.
