CRANE Mr. Crane,n a musical comedy by AI and Elsie Simmons and Larry Wagner was presented by the Senior High School musical department on March 21 and 22, 1980. The setting for this story is Sleepy Hollow School for Young Ladies under the guidance of Dean Roberts tAngie Dextery. Dean Alson tKevin Nabityy is head of nearby Hudson Academy for boys. The location is on the very ground where Ichabod Crane of Washington Irving,s famous legend met the Van Tas- sels and Brom Bones. Confusion, misunderstanding, and mistaken identities ensue when Ike Crane tTim Mommensy appears and meets Kathy Van Tassel Geannie Boeltsy and Tom Bones tRick Grigsbyy. Waltzes, marches, and an old Alma Mater, rock, soft shoe, beguine and com- edy songs, as performed by the lead characters and choruses, provide a music style that has an appealing ring in the musical. Mimi tAudrey Charrom, Gladys tTra- cey Jeffersony, Dottie tTina EdwardsL Jimmy tCraig Strattont, and Hugh tKarl Charrony supported by the student body tBoys and Girls Cleey kept activity mov- ing at a lively pace. F our small boys played by Laura Ros- coe, Jocelyn Magnusson, Candace Scheer, and Barb Hendricks and their teacher tLeland Wagnery provided a flash back to a typical school room scene from the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The village tomboy, tNancy F reelendy restores order out of chaos at Sleepy Hollow School for Young Ladies in a unique manner. E 1V5 ' ; LA, - a E . ' ' 4- . . . osx c't t . he I.
