Vfa aw i Jihldit alissaciafion The purpose of G. A. A. is to develop a spirit of comradeship, good sportsmanship, and friendliness among students. Among the various groups in this organization intramural com- petition is offered. Membership is open to all girls, with dues of fifty cents a semester. Merits may be won by attendance at meetings, taking part in sports at meetings. hikes, bicycling, etc. Letters are awarded to the top twelve merit winners, and certificates axe given to all with two hundred merits or more. Some of the activities of G. A.A. this year were a volleyball tournament, slumber party, and the spring field trip to Hastings, Nebraska. This trip included a tour of the Hastings Daily Tribune, the Hastings Dairy, Hastings College, and the House of Yesterday. The trip ended about six o'clock p. m. with everyone feeling they had spent a very enjoyable day. 27

This Council is the means by which all of us as students can make our wishes and ideas about school problems known. This can be done by taking them directly to the individual class representative. That is why the Student Council is dependent on you, the student, in order to fulfill its purpose. 29
