i 1 I ' ' U Scwznr 81fcursm11 Day At flve o clock A M on the mornmg of Apnl 3 1959 the semor class quretly left theu' peaceful school for a glorlous day tn Omaha They rode rn two busses Theu ftrst stop was at Wahoo where they had thetr breakfast A lrttle after elght thxrty they arrxved at Hardrng s Sealtest Ice Cream where each member of the tour was gtven an 1ce cream sandwlch At the next stop Krtty Clover Inc the semors ver1f1ed the fact that these potato chlps are never touched by human hands unttl the semors start enjoylng them Next they toured the Woodmen of the World Burldxng After thts they went to Brandels where they were guests at lunch From twelve thuty untll two o clock they were allowed to shop or do whatever they pleased At two o clock the frfty seven semors and the two sponsors assembled at the Cooper Theatre where they saw the movle South Paclfrc Another one of the hrgh pomts of the day was dmner eaten at the Blackstone Hotel rn the atmosphere of the Garden Room After a lovely drnner they danced 1n the lounge At elght o clock they enjoyed the beautrful lce Capades at the Ak sar ben On the way home the group stopped at Wahoo for lunch amvrng home shortly after two o clock Th1s IS one day I m sure they wrll always remember They wtsh to extend a hearty thanks to Mr and Mrs Fuerst thetr two wonderful sponsors

6111.95 flzstary It was four years ago tn nmeteen hundred and ftfty fxve that sucty etght awkward bashful green freshmen entered hrgh school After a few days they seemed to fall rnto the ranks of hrgh school lrfe Mr Johnson was chosen as our sponsor Roger Roscoe Presldent Aaron Peterson Vtce President Jean Ferns Secretary Tom Geren Treasurer October etghteen was lnrtxatron day All Freshmen were requrred to dress as small chtldren age one to flve That evemng we were guests of the student body The party was marred by the news of a car trarn accrdent whrch took the lrves of three of our classmates Anne Demel Barbara Funk and V1ck1e Peterson Durmg the year seven students left the class of frfty ntne The Freshmen ended the year wrth a class prcnrc Our Sophomore year we came back determmed to do our best now that we were used to all the work of hrgh school lrfe Mr Johnson was agam chosen our sponsor Joan Kyes Presldent Alan Dexter Vrce Prest dent Lxnda Black Secretary Galen Roumpf Treasurer Thts year four students left our class Our school year was chmaxed wrth a sprrng get together The Jumor year IS always one of the bustest years of hrgh school Mr and Mrs Fuerst Lunders Secretary Roger Roscoe Treasurer Thts year seven students Jorned our class and four left Crashrng Soctety was presented by our class to ratse money so that the Iunxor Class could honor the Senror Class at a banquet Sayonora was used as our theme The responsrbtlrtres of htgh school l1fe have slowly begun to dawn upon the class of frfty nrne Mr and Mrs Fuerst were agam chosen as our capable sponsors for our last year of hrgh school Roger Roscoe Presrdent Sharon Howe Vrce Presrdent Nolan Cooper Secretary Eldon Lmdqurst Treasurer Thrs year two students Jotned our class and two left Our class play Anme Get Your Gun was presented to a full house Senror Day was enloyed by everyone by travel1ng to Omaha to see South Pactfrc tn the afternoon and The Ice Capades rn the evenlng The class of frfty mne was honored at a banquet grven by the Jumors usrng the theme Moonlrght and Roses whlch was beauttfully done On May twenty four the class attended Baccalaureate servrces.
