Their first showing was at the State Fair in Lincoln on September 6, Later the band took its annual trip to Hastings College to participate in the Melody Round-up. Shortly thereafter, because of hard work and splendid co-operation they received a superior rating at the annual Grand Island Harvest of Harmony, The band chose Donna Drake to represent them as queen candidate, The band marched at most of the football games and furnished 'pep-in-music' at rallies, fab' Q -pa, '9 1 1-Q1 'X 1 , '1 Q .
