Zaccafzureafe Gommen cemefzl The Senior Class of 1957 took its first step on the road to graduation on May nineteenth when the members attended Baccalaureate services in the auditorium, The Reverend Melvin Zichek delivered the sermon. On May twenty-third, Dr. Charles Patterson, of the University of Nebraska, gave the Commencement address, Fifty seniors received their diplomas presented by Mr. Charles Phares, president of the Board of Education. Superintendent B. E. Krantz awarded the following scholarships and awards: Valedictorian, Phyllis Pelican, Salutatorian, Regents, and State Teachers' College Scholarship, Marlene Schutt, Regents alter- nate and Merrick County Teachers' Scholarship, Judy Stephenson, Regents alternate, Orvis Larsen, Regents altemate, william Mesner, Nebraska Association of Church Colleges Scholarship, Janet Hruzag Rachel Young Scholarship, Dorothy Knippenburgg B,P,W, Scholarship, Donna Krug, B.P.W. Scholarship, Donna Drake: Carl R.
