There were forty-seven students and two sponsors, Miss Widman and Mr. Neil. Making certain that the underclassmen would know the seniors were gone, the class sufficiently decorated the school. ' By the time the group reached Wahoo, two hours later, they were ready-to partake of a long awaited breakfast. When everyone was satiated, they boarded the bus once again for Omaha. The frrst stop was Boys' Town, where everyone marveled at the wonderful leadership and organ- ization that made such a home for boys possible. The class then set out for Swift's Packing Plant. They were divided into two groups and a guide took them through the plant. Seeing the process of turning live cattle and pigs into food at such speed and cleanliness amazed the group. The morning was concluded by lunch at the Stock Yards Cafeteria. The next stop was a guided tour through the Kitty Clover Potato Chip Company. They were impressed with the plush executive offices. The class followed the process of a potato until it became a crisp brown potato chip all sacked. At the end of the tour each person received a 4 fresh bag of potato chips. They scrambled on the bus for a ride down town at which time everyone was given four hours free time. Some of the class went shopping, others went to the show, and still others just took in the sights. A high point of the day was dinner eaten at the Town House, in the atmosphere of the Hawaiian Room. After a lovely dinner they had more free time, to go to the show or roller 4 skating. The group arrived in Central City just twenty-three hours after starting the journey, con- siderably more tired but very happy. A good time was had by all.

Matthes, Treasurer Terry McHargue, and Secretary Gene Larson launched a class of fifty-eight members on their junior year with Mrs. Fox and Mr. Bede as High scholastic standings and extracurricular re- sponsibilities were the high aim of the class. Arrival of class rings made them feel more like upperclass- Directed by Mrs. Walker the play Rest Assured was commendably presented on January 30. A ticket selling contest resulted in a party for Room 34 given same time trying to learn the senior sneak day plans. A11 in all the Juniors have had a busy and happy
