Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. When you were sick, I was the one who healed you, but you have forgotten those days. lRemember the Chicken Pox?J Back then you were a very sensitive .and tender child and I appealed to you with my love. Since then you have often drifted away from me but I have never once drifted away from you because I am God, not a.man. Sometimes, little child, you insist on eating things that are not good for youg Feeding on the wind I call it. But all those things you are looking for you will find in me. I alone can fill you upoeven in time of drought, even when there is nothing that looks good to you. When you've tried everything else and -are still hungry, l'Il be here to help you and I will not get angry at you. Whenever you come to me I will help you and cause you to grow like a beautiful flower. You will be as lovely as an olive tree and useful too. The puppets have appeal to all ages, but especially to the adults. Each skit is an original composition, and sometimes the adults can catch thesubtle humor built into these dramas. The stories that are presented are intended to preach and teach the truths of Scripture, Biblical events, musical presentations, and modern dramas provide a positive punch that teaches without offending because of the projection of any personality. The 1975-1976 team is composed of eight students and Professor Kessler. The team Members are Max, Flavio, Debbie Shubbuck, Gloria Cozadd, Tim Robertson, Jean Ann Squires, Charles Wise, and Randy Murphy. It brings real joy, wonderful joy, when former students of Central lmy spiritual 'children'j fulfill the purpose of the College - faithful ser- vice for our Lord. It also brings real grief when a former student departs from the faith. Thanks be unto God, however, that our joys are so abundant. cf. I Thes. 2:19,20. A -Lloyd Pelfrey, Presideht' Wayne Lowen, Academic Dean Although I thoroughly enjoy opening up the 'dusty windows' of the Old Testament area, I probably enjoy teaching Apologetics more than anything. l've also enjoyed the challenge of the business and organizational end of the College in my work as Academic Dean. What l'm saying is that we all need to work produc- tively, and Central provides the opportunity to be useful, functional, helpful, and slightly weird. , ,, . . G and to provide opportunities to developour Gcfd-giventalents and sing of our love for our Heavenly .Father and His Son -ilesus, our Lord. Our students have been faced with a world in need and are found meeting that need through music and the Word. They will continue to give God the glory through their singing! The Apostle Paul states our purpose so .beautifully in Colossians 3:1-6 when he says, 'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. -Tarry Koutz, Professor of Music Dan Schantz, Professor of Christian Educa- tion' - Teaching teachers to teach - There are a few rare ducks around who are natural-born teachers, but most people need much help in ways to teach the Gospel. That's where I come in with methods of teaching.. l'm also helping - I hope- to train mothers and fathers who are God's best teachers. lt's my hope that I can help produce teachers who are not mere mechanical speechmakers but warm and per- sonable, Christlike human beings. fa . 1 f o s d ir ir ir a at II ir S 6 W 9. il Ie I- w 'n in ie 'e in re r- ! . +1--w-....-.M - ' Jesus spoke about men hungering thirsting after righteousness. This may speak of 'being right with God' or 'being right with men'. ln either case, l'd like to believje that it involves being anxious to know what the Word of God says on the matter, too. Above all, in New Testament, and fG16ekTepartments, I want to whet the students' appetite for finding out what each new verse of Scripture says,'so that they can't wait to get back to their study of the Word, in order to have their hunger and thirst satisfied. -Gareth Reese, NT Professor - ' T I teach Church History and Biblical Theology. The church in history is a mixture of divine truth and human error. We are the living historical link in the divine-human chain of the redemptive process. Knowledge of our past can bring wisdom to the present and hope for the future. You too can sort and separate truth from error when you know basic Bible doc- trines and study the church in history! -L.
